Ready for winter weather and other emergencies?

It’s been awhile since we posted anything here — busy times — very sorry about that. Hope you are all staying safe and are prepared for winter weather and other emergencies!

Here are a few preparedness resources that were posted recently to our West Seattle Be Prepared group page on Facebook.

Dave highlighted these emergency preparedness checklists in multiple languages from the Take Winter By Storm website!

Tim submitted a link to the Disaster & Safety Library on the Red Cross website.

Also, I found a Pocket Guide to Emergencies, a travel resource from the Canadian government.

Lastly, reminder about the emergency communication hub maps that we have available on this site. In the event of a dire emergency, these hubs will be activated and you can come to any one of them to offer assistance or ask for assistance! West Seattle was one of the first 3 communities in Seattle to establisg hubs, but they have now sprung up around the city!
