Come see us at Delridge Day and the SW Precinct Picnic!

Delridge Day and the SW Precinct Picnic are this coming Saturday, August 17th from 11 – 4 at the Delridge Community Center. As we mentioned earlier, we’ll have an informational booth there. This is our last scheduled community outreach event for the year, so stop by to pick up free printed materials and/or learn more about our group.

Do you need maps that show the West Seattle Emergency Communication Hubs? We have our popular postcard maps (great “frig art” or to keep in your vehicle) as well as maps showing West Seattle hazards and vulnerabilities and the hubs together. We also have printed versions of the translated hub maps and information that you see on the menu above.

You can also pick up NEW Pet Alert window stickers from the Seattle Animal Shelter (limited quantities), out-of-area contact cards (in multiple languages), HELP/OK signs that can alert your neighbors that you need help, plus an assortment of materials such as brochures on Pet Preparedness, Building a Family Disaster Kit and Making a Family Disaster Plan. We also have some “Ready Freddie” coloring books from FEMA (while supplies last).

Delridge Day and the Precinct Picnic offer wonderful music, entertainment, and food. It’s also a great opportunity to connect with community organizations and local businesses. Here’s the schedule. We hope to see you there!
