February educational opportunities!

Did you resolve to get prepared, or better prepared, in 2014? If so, you can take some steps this month!

Dennis Galvin, a hub volunteer from the NW section of Seattle, emailed us about this CityStream episode on Emergency Preparedness (from 1/30/14, approx. 25 minutes). It showcases some of the new P-Patch hubs, generator  safety tips, and more.

We also noted a free Earthquake Retrofit class this coming Saturday, February 8th from 3-5 PM. It’s not in West Seattle, but it is close by at the Beacon Hill Library, 2821 Beacon Ave. S., Seattle, WA 98144. You can find the schedule of all Office of Emergency Management classes here.

Visit the Training & Education page of our website for additional suggestions (including some very good online classes)!
