Citywide Hub exercise and other news!

We want to call your attention to two recent announcements about citywide hub activities. You can find more details about each on the Seattle Emergency Hubs website.

First, there will be another citywide hub drill on July 29th — just a month from now! West Seattle emergency communication hubs that will participate in the exercise include the emergency communication hubs at Hope Lutheran Church in Alaska Junction, Neighborhood House in High Point, and EC Hughes Playfield. Here’s the informational flyer for the event.

Second, this week, the Department of Neighborhoods announced their plan to designate ALL P-Patch gardens in Seattle as community hubs. As we have noted before, not all of the newer hubs will have radio capabilities. [Added September 14th] Here’s a link to an interactive hub map that includes these new P-Patch hubs. Currently in West Seattle, only the Delridge P-Patch hub has radio capability.
