Events Calendar

With the launch of our new website in early 2013, we have created a new West Seattle Be Prepared event calendar, which will primarily focus on preparedness-related events in or near West Seattle. So, this page won’t be updated anymore…

For preparedness events outside of West Seattle, we also direct you to the City of Seattle Office of Emergency Management’s event calendar, which is continually updated. Their free SNAP (Seattle Neighborhoods Actively Prepare) classes are generally offered twice yearly (June and November) in West Seattle, but are offered in other Seattle neighborhoods at other times during the year. They also offer spring and fall Skills Training sessions (Disaster First Aid, Light Search and Rescue), CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training, earthquake retrofitting classes and other events. Most of these sessions are free, so they tend to fill up quickly!

Please send us information about any preparedness-related events that you’d like us to know about!  We also post announcements and other event-related information on our home page and on our Facebook page!
